This residential design was created for a small courtyard space for a townhome in Baldwin Park. The focus of the design was to create a pleasant space that linked the detached garage to the main residence. Brick pavers and a traditional southern plant palette were utilized in keeping with the style of the home and traditional styling of the community. An arbor was created and planted with a flowering vine to block views to and from the adjacent lane. A wall fountain was added to the garage wall to provide a focal point from the residence and the sound of running water provides a soothing environment. The flowering crape myrtles will over time provide additional summer shade.
